07 April 2013 - Caitlin's first ballet class

It's Caitlin's turn for her own activity. Let's see how she does with this.

Well, not surprisingly, she's just looking at herself in the mirror.

Yup, yet again she doesn't want to do it after awhile.

06 April 2013 - Connor/Caitlin Soccer times

Well, here we go again with indoor soccer. This time around Caitlin is old enough to join and we thought it would be a great idea for her to join Kuya Connor so she can do some type of sports. Also, to be selfish on my part, I don't have to take care of Caitlin while Conner is practicing. The plan backfired on me because after the warm-ups Caitlin really didn't want to have anything to do with the sport.

she didn't want to run around any longer...and that was it for soccer. I don't know if she doesn't like soccer or doesn't like to take directions from the coach.

March 2013 - Smitty family update

March was full of activity in the Smith household and everywhere else we went so I thought it would be best to blog about it one entry.

01 March 2013

I don't know if you can see it but there is a smudge on the bottom left hand corner of my iPad. I'm pretty sure it was Caitlin that did it. I had to take a picture of it because it looked like a heart but as my brother said, "it could have been her ass". I'll never know and I really don't want to know.

After church one Sunday, we headed out to Pho for some noodle soup. In order for them to finish their meal I bribed them with bubble tea. I kid you not, both kids can finish their ginormous treat.

This is the first time Connor is getting his hair cut in a real barber shop instead of those expensive kids' salons. I promise that's not a look of worry. He was actually okay with it. Although, I probably shouldn't have let them cut it too short because Nana is visiting soon and she actually doesn't like the buzz cut. It's so much easier to wash though.

Nana and Grandpa arrived last week and this was after Caitlin had her bath and waiting around for Connor to have his bath before she went to bed.

We purposely didn't celebrate Caitlin's birthday last month so we can have the party when Nana and Grandpa arrived this month. Caitlin was still excited even though it wasn't her birthday month. Any excuse to have a birthday cake is a good day.

I saw this cake on Pinterest and had to try it. I did used my cousin's icing recipe. I probably would have gotten away with just making it one layer though. All in all, the kids liked it. Thank goodness!!!

I went to our bedroom to get dressed since the kids were all ready for school. When I went out this is what I found. Caitlin piled everything on top of Connor and he was totally okay with it. He's such a good sport.

I love it when they look like they actually love each other.

25 February 2013 - Caitlin's Birthday Cake

We celebrated Caitlin's birthday on Monday because I just arrived from Toronto on her actual birthday. I guess I really plan this trip out properly.

Brian went out to get them an ice cream cake which we rarely have. Let's face it, they've never had it in our house. It was a real treat for them.

21 February 2013 - After Bath Time

What happens when Mommy is in Toronto? Caitlin tells Daddy what he forgot to do after bath time. As usual, she's trying to procrastinate in going to bed. Also, she's as clumsy as me. There is nothing on the floor except for the mat but she still managed to trip a little bit.
